BULLS: One thing for sure, we are NOT in a bull market. Right now we are protracting sideways with lots of volatility. It's the type of market that makes most folks disengage with trading and investing. Not on this blog. One dividend name that looks good is Kinder Morgan Ticker: KMI The company provides natural gas transportation and storage services in North America and is projecting a 2021 net income of $1.7 Billion. It has a very respectable Yield of 5.9%, and is fast approaching a buy point as it breaks out of a channel that it has maintained for many months. The last five years it has posted a dividend growth rate of 17%. The demand for natural gas is high for a multitude of reasons.

BALLERS: Steve Cohen owns the New York Mets. His team won't be playing ball anytime soon because of Major League Baseball labor issues. That hasn't stopped Steve from taking some hearty cuts at a Penny Stock. By the way, the billionaire is very intent on lifting the Mets back into contention by opening his sizeable coffers and lifting his club's team payroll to the 250 million dollar range. The luxury tax has been a key topic in baseball's current negotiations slog that has delayed the start of spring training and will no doubt delay the start of the season. Cohen is willing and able to spend, yet MLB's negotiators are intent on keeping its punitive luxury tax at or near current levels rather than raising it as MLB's Players Union is calling for. Clearly they don't like the idea of a maverick owner forcing already high salaries into a new stratosphere without compensation to smaller market teams.

Cohen is a legendary stock picker, who heads investment firm Point72. An interesting focus of his firm has been penny stock X4 Pharmaceuticals Ticker: XFOR. The company has a cutting edge drug called Mavorixafor, and has completed enrollment in its pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial for the drug in patients with WHIM syndrome. That information is readily available on X4 Pharmaceuticals website. https://www.x4pharma.com/

The average analyst price target for the stock is $17 and it is currently priced in the two dollar range. There's nothing fundamentally sound about the X4's earnings and the ticker has dropped like a knife for many months, but Point72 clearly has an opinion that the trials will change all of that. A "YOLO" play, if ever I saw one. Pharma trades/investments like this are very speculative. Also very noticeable is the fact that 5,000 May call options have been scooped up at the 2.50 strike. We'll keep tabs on this one.
