BULLS: The market has made a powerful move in the last few weeks. Fear has dissipated for now because of good company earnings and surprising economic data. Inflation is still very impactful but since the charts are indicating an approach to the 200 moving average on the SPY, plowing heavily into most stocks next week is probably not a good idea. Keep in mind that as we head closer to the November elections, however, the momentum could very well continue. It's STILL very much a stock pickers market, so here are a few stocks that are good candidates. I have cited UNH and MPW in the last number of weeks. MPW (Medical Properties Trust) provides a 7.1% dividend. It's a low beta stock with a good dividend with available options. As far as United Health, well, UNH might very well be one of the most bankable stocks of the last decade. It's currently offering a reasonable entry. The Marketsmith chart below indicates a powerful trend that has abated little during these volatile inflationary times. Prices at the gas pump have dissipated, but there's still plenty of opportunity in dividend names such as Devon and Exxon Mobile. (DVN, XOM)

BALLERS: You could say that Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth were the ultimate baseball legends. Pictured below is legendary New York PR man, John "Tex" Cirillo, gripping the 100-year-old game-used autographed bat that belonged to the Sultan of Swat, Babe Ruth. His bat from 1918 will be made available (along with other Ruthian items) to the highest bidder at the Heritage Auctions House in NYC along with A mint Topps 1952 Mickey Mantle baseball card. If you are interested, the card is expected to sell for a record $10 million. If you click the item you can see how the bidding is currently going.
